At the table
Built for the campaign that never ends
Tabletop nights are hard on gear: backpacks, car rides, metal dice, and the scramble to set up before session zero energy fades. Our RPG accessories are cut from the same hardwoods as our tankards (maple, walnut, cherry, oak), finished with natural oils and waxes, and never stained or dyed. The grain stays part of the atmosphere.
Rob brings the same historical patience he uses on genealogy and period drinkware into the joinery and proportions. Darla keeps the finishing and detail work as careful as the leather line. The result is a vault or tray that looks like it belongs next to the screen, not like a plastic case you hide under the table.

The gear
Vaults, trays, and custom work
Dice vaults (boxes)
Closed storage for polyhedral sets. Magnetic lids stay shut in a backpack without fiddly clasps. Felt linings cushion metal and resin dice so they do not chip each other on the ride over.
Dice trays
Rolling surfaces with raised edges so critical hits stay on the table. Felt bottoms quiet the clatter and protect both dice and tabletops. Useful at home and at noisy convention floors.
Magnetic closures
Magnets keep lids aligned and closed. No straps to fray, no latches to catch on a bag zipper. Open with one hand when it is your turn.
Custom layouts and emblems
Guild marks, party names, or a specific tray size: email tuskandbraid@gmail.com with sketches or references. We confirm the plan before we cut wood.
Materials
Same woods, same finish philosophy
RPG pieces use the same no-stain approach as our tankards. Maple reads clean and light. Walnut goes dark and dramatic under candle or LED light. Cherry warms over years. Oak brings a traditional, sturdy look. Oils and waxes protect without plastic shine.
Felt colors and compartment layouts vary by piece. If you need space for a large metal set or a slim travel vault, say so in your email and we will size the work accordingly.
